What can I do to help during Covid-19?

How many times have you heard unprecedented times? We have worked and gone through so much since Covid-19 received a name. I have seen many hero's during this time: nurses, aids, physicians, healers, grocery employees. There have been so many in different roles. We don't have to feel helpless during this time. Here are some ideas to help!

Help your community

- Give to your local food bank. They all need help and contributions. The following are a few you can donate to St. Joseph Food Program, Inc., Feeding America® Food Banks, and Loaves And Fishes Of The Fox Valley is at Trinity Lutheran Church.

- Give blood. The American Red Cross has an urgent need for blood due to the coronavirus outbreak.

- Consider fostering or adopting a pet in need, as typical shelter volunteers aren't able to make it in to help at this time — and they're always in need of food and cleaning supply donations too.

These are just a few ways you can help, as just one small act can make a difference. Make a goal of doing something kind for someone, whether it's helping rake, picking up groceries or just saying hello it does make a difference!
